...until you spend 3 hours trying and failing to get Catia to filet an edge. I got one to work only to have another, and just left the office 20 minutes ago

I have had AutoCAD open for ages today - honestly haven't had the will or initiative to do much of what I'm trying to do.
Oh yeah, and fillets are the devil. NX, SolidEdge, etc. ain't nobody likes fillets.

I actually ended up with my whole group around me trying to help because they could tell I was about to chuck the computer off the building

I've had fillet Gremlins in NX, granted that was mostly 5 and 6.

Are you guys finally using Catia V6? For the record, I won't join in the Catia vs UGNX argument since the latest versions of both are equally powerful and it's really a matter of preference.
I will say this, compared to Catia or UGNX, SolidWorks is fucking bullshit.

I had to use V4 when I was in aircraft. It was awful.

I worked one summer in our only car manufacturer's R&D center. There I worked a lot with Catia V4 and bit with V5. I really liked to work with V4 but since than I haven't had an opportunity to use it. But I have been working with Catia V5 very often with random design projects. I have also used Ideas (hard to use) in my earliers job and I have been trying to use Solidworks (hated it) too. I haven't tried any new versions of Autocad so I don't opinions about those. I'll prefer Catia V5 over any others (V6 was slightly annoying too).
Yesterday I was bit frustrated as I had downloaded a '70 Challenger 3d model and I was going to do some test fitting of parts to it. It was modeled in Collada format but I had trouble importing it to Catia. I tried to convert it with Skechup and FreeCAD but only file format that partially worked was .wrl. But for some weird reason Catia opened it with some 3d viewer that wouldn't let me do anything with it. Finally I could import it as a separate components to an assembly. Not very nice solution but solved my problem.

Yes, I know the frustration. Let me introduce you to my friend Solidworks. The frustration is real.
*eye twitch*
So real.
